Spring / Summer 2015/16 'youyou'

 LARA KLAWIKOWSKI SS 2015/16 'youyou' is a collection inspired by the unnecessary pressure young women may feel when they are expected to ‘dress-up', old-fashioned garment construction details, the history of dressing-up and early 20th century beach scenes when a more relaxed approach to corsetry was emerging. 

The collection was designed for women who want to dress-up unconventionally and unexpectedly, wearing pieces they find intriguing. The materials used were made by upcycling fabric off-cuts from previous collections to create re-fabricated lace-like textures.

This collection was showcased at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Cape Town 2015.
